The Brief

HMO Management Agency came to use with a struggling Google Ads account. Their CPA's were spiralling out of control, whilst also not generating enough leads.
They followed all of Google's recommendations but to no avail. "Google is actively trying to make our lives difficult!" the client said.
Fenix Digital's task was to reduce their CPA's whilst also generating more leads without increasing their budget.

Our Plan of Action

After a comprehensive audit of the Google Ads account, we noticed numerous inaccuracies that needed to be improved.
These included but were not limited to -

1 - Insufficient headlines, descriptions, and extensions
2 - Poorly configured conversion tracking
3 - Irrelevant search terms
4 - Overlapping campaign structure
5 - The wrong bidding strategy
6 - Inefficient landing page
7 - Low quality score

Our first priority was to properly configure conversion tracking and analytics. To do this we needed to overhaul their current lead capture system and redesign their landing page. Once this was complete, we then linked GA4 to their Google Ads account and setup the appropriate conversion actions.

Our next course of action was to improve their quality score. To start, we conducted an exhaustive review of their search terms and keywords and removed irrelevant search terms that were eating up their budget and replaced them with high-intent keywords. The keywords were segmented and added to the appropriate ad group. We then added new headlines, descriptions, and extensions that were relevant to their keywords.

Once that was complete, we set up a new bidding strategy using our new and improved conversion tracking system. The results improved significantly almost immediately.
